INTRODUCTION:

This is Ewan MacLeod's transcription of the 1905 BFBS Peshitto text (untagged) from the Turkish Bible Society, containing all 27 books of the Ketuvim Netzarim ("NT"), manually entered and checked by Ewan. He also input a beautiful Tiberian nikkudot system of vowels and accents to enable Hebrew readers to approximate the authentic Aramaic vocalization behind this text.

Also see the screenshot included in this zip folder showing how this text compares to the existing Accordance version, "Hebrew Peshitta NT" (which is tagged). (I do highly recommend purchasing Accordance' "Peshitta Add-on Bundle" if you are interested in this kind of research).

That being said, the nikkudot (diacritical marks) in this text ("P-1905 (EM)") are likely better than that of the "Hebrew Peshitta NT" version, because the latter contains circle marks above many letters that, according to Ewan, don't belong there. (They seem to be like Masoretic note indicators in the Hebrew Tanakh, but no such thing exists in the Peshitta).

INSTALLATION IN ACCORDANCE:

To install in Accordance, open the Accordance program, and go to "File -> User Files -> Import Bible Text." Select the text file "P-1905 (EM)" and then, when prompted, select "Peshitta NT-Tagged" versification (if you have it available). If you don't have this versification scheme available in the dropdown list, then try other "New Testament" versions.

Once installed, test to make sure that the versification of this module aligns with other texts that you have in Accordance. If it doesn't, you may want to re-import it with a different versification scheme. (I know that the "Peshitta NT-Tagged" versification will work perfectly, but you need the "Peshitta Add-on Bundle" to have access to that versification).
